Teesdale Athletic Club
Teesdale Athletic Club is a friendly athletic club for people of all ages and abilities, who live in Barnard Castle and the surrounding Dales.
The club was established in 1984 and while we mainly cater for road running, the club currently takes juniors from 11 years old upwards. We have had athletes competing in National Cross Country Championship races and fell running.
Joining Teesdale Athletic Club gives you the opportunity to meet like minded people and to participate in one of our regular group training sessions. We have a highly experienced and qualified coaching team who lead each training session. We strongly believe regular and structured training helps improve performance at the same time as promoting well-being and a heathy mind. Details of each of the training sessions are shown below, just click on the image to learn more. In addition to the structured training sessions, many club members occasionally meet up on a Sunday morning at the Teesdale Leisure Centre in Barnard Castle for a social run. Routes are normally in the local area and decided on the day.
You are quite welcome to try out our training sessions but please get in touch with the club first and remember that you must wear high visibility clothing at all times, this includes any under garments if you take off your running top. If you fail to wear high visibility clothing then unfortunately you will not be allowed to take part in the training session.
We are affiliated to UK England Athletics, so all eligible club members can obtain personal registration at the same time as taking advantage of many other benefits provided.
